F Barnes are delighted to support Saint Francis Hospice with this years 'Make a Will Fortnight' 12th - 23rd June 2017

Make a Will Fortnight is a will writing iniative where a number of local solicitors agree to take part by writing or amending standard wills free of charge in return for a donation to the hospice.  All participating solicitors are donating their time and expertise free of charge.

Last year the Make a Will Fortnight event raised £11,500 from donations which could pay for over 200 hours of patient care at home. F Barnes raised £1620 alone.

1 in 5 of the patients are currently cared for as a result of gifts in wills. Every legacy gift, whatever the size, is invaluable to  the hospice and those they care for.

F Barnes have supported the hospice for a number of years and work closely with Susan Spencer at the hospice in making this a success.

  • 1 in 4 people die in the UK without making a will - this can lead to high legal costs after their death, as well as possible heartache and distress if loved ones have not been taken care of.
  • Making a will makes things easier for those you leave behind which can save your family and friends considerable distress and expense at what will already be a very upsetting time.
  • By making a valid will, you can be sure that your assets are given to the people you care about which can give you real peace of mind. It protects your assets for your loved ones and helps reduce the impact that Inheritance Tax and residential care fees can have on your estate.
