F Barnes help raise funds to donate a Dementia Friendly Interactive Therapy Machine to Romford Care Home

Today we saw the pleasure the recently donated RITA machine (Reminiscence Interactive Therapy Activities) gave to the residents of Romford Care Home We began this journey a year ago with an idea to help raise money for those living in Havering with #dementia.

We have been a member of Havering Dementia Action Alliance for many years and the group work tirelessly to help residents in Havering suffering with Dementia, their carers, the vulnerable and elderly generally.

Having worked closely with Lesley and Karen from the group we hosted a ‘Dementia Friendly Cream Tea’ in April. The funds raised were enough to donate a machine to Romford Care Home. Thank you, Tracy and your team for your hospitality today, amazing teamwork & collaboration!

The group are going to publish a Just Giving page to help raise the essential funds to purchase more of these machines to distribute in the Havering Community and need your support.
