TRAINEE SOLICITOR VACANCY
F Barnes are looking to recruit a trainee solicitor to join their training programme. We would like someone who has had first-hand experience as a paralegal since obtaining their LPC. This would ideally suit someone who would like to join us on a 6 month probation period as a paralegal with the opportunity of being offered a two year training opportunity.
As a firm we are fully dedicated to providing our trainees with a fully comprehensive and diverse introduction to the legal world we live in.
We look to provide high quality training across various different seats of law which can range from but not exclusive to, Family Law, Private Client, Commercial & Corporate Law, Property Law, Employment and Litigation.
Trainees will be working in a friendly and supportive environment where candidates have fantastic opportunity to progress their career.
What should you expect?
Trainee solicitors will usually spend six months in each seat of law in both contentious and non-contentious areas.
Whilst we discuss what areas of law you would prefer to train in we always look to keep these under review with you as many trainees often change their mind as to what areas they would like to eventually practice in as they progress through their training contract.
We have an excellent team of highly experienced solicitors at F Barnes who are also skilled in appearing in court personally and can pass on their skills in this regard.
You should expect to be meeting clients and working on live files from the very outset and whilst you will receive training your knowledge will be built up by gaining the wide experience by being ‘on the job’ from the start.
We integrate our trainee solicitors into our networking and business development programme throughout. We see this as an important integral part to becoming a successful solicitor in the modern legal battlefield.
What are we looking for?
- We are looking for candidates that have enthusiasm, drive and ambition to do well.
- Our successful future lawyers will have great personal skills whilst being able to think outside the box. They must be able to adapt according to the changes in demands of the ‘new millennium client’.
- They must have passed the LPC
- We are short-listing candidates that have completed a minimum of 6 months as a paralegal
- Residing within a 20 mile radius.
Start Date: 1st April
Salary: Competitive Salary According to Experience.
Probation: 6 months
